Set to take place at London’s historic Alexandra Palace on November 16th and 17th, the UK leg of the VANS WARPED TOUR – headlined by ENTER SHIKARI, RISE AGAINST, PARKWAY DRIVE, and BILLY TALENT – continues to go from strength to strength with another killer list of bands added to the line-up.
Leading the charge are Steel City metallic hardcore heroes WHILE SHE SLEEPS who are set to whip the WARPED pit into a frenzy. The quintet have made a huge leap forward since releasing their debut album ‘This is the Six’ last year, with highlights including the entire WARPED tour of America and Canada, as well as their stunning Main Stage opening sets at this weekend’s Reading and Leeds festivals.
“We are fully stoked to be playing the Vans Warped Tour UK show,” said the band’s guitarist Mat Welsh. “It was an insane experience for us getting to spend the summer in America surrounded by so many awesome bands on the Warped Tour. Finishing the year in London at Alexandra Palace is going to be the perfect end to our best year so far. Let’s hope everyone’s up for a party!”
More ferocity comes to the fore with another exciting addition in the shape of HATEBREED. Fronted by the charismatic Jamey Jasta, the hugely influential band recently achieved their highest Stateside chart position with their sixth album ‘The Divinity of Purpose’ and also played an intimate London show as guests to Killswitch Engage.
Also freshly confirmed are Manchester’s ever eclectic SONIC BOOM SIX. Recently seen hitting Download, Reading and Leeds, SONIC BOOM SIX’s profile is bigger than ever following the release of last year’s self-titled album – their first under a new deal with Xtra Mile.
And if that wasn’t enough, WARPED can also announce the addition of plenty more bands to this year’s festivities.
Saturday November 16th will also feature: the progressive pop of ALVAREZ KINGS; Surrey rockers CANTERBURY; dynamic Dutch quintet THE CHARM, THE FURY; California’s alt-reggae band THE DIRTY HEADS; pop-punkers HANDGUNS and WE ARE FICTION, Fresh from slaying the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading and Leeds.
Sunday November 17th now also adds: the self-proclaimed “unstoppable pack of northern bastards” BLACK DOGS; the Botch, At The Drive-In and early Biffy Clyro-inspired CARNIVAL KIDS; Bath’s hotly-tipped DECADE; the melodically-inclined THE FIRST; JIM LOCKEY & THE SOLEMN SUN who famously backed Frank Turner at the opening ceremony of the Olympics and the classic British punk attitude of MAX RAPTOR.
The full line-up is as below. In keeping with the finest traditions of the VANS WARPED TOUR, the running order is to be decided on the day.
